Your Clone replies to your audience in your voice, so IcloneU's AI Policy asks you to be transparent that an AI assistant is involved. On Facebook, Instagram and YouTube that means adding a small identifier and a short disclosure to your profile before you enable the Clone. This is a one-time edit per profile, and the connection won't let you finish enabling until you confirm you've done it.
IcloneU gives you the identifier and the confirmation step, but adding it is yours to do: IcloneU isn't responsible for regulatory non-compliance if the notice is missing, and meeting the AI-transparency rules in the place you operate is the client's responsibility. Set it up from day one — IcloneU also sends an automatic reminder 7 days after activation to double-check it's in place.
What to add
The official identifier is the sparkle ✨, shown together with a short disclosure line. Add both to your profile:

Where space is tight, an abbreviated version of the disclosure is fine — keep the ✨ and make clear an AI assistant is involved.
Put it wherever it's visible to people who reach you on that channel — typically your bio, About or channel description. Add it on every profile where your Clone operates.
Where it goes, per channel
- Instagram — add the ✨ and the disclosure to your bio (Edit profile → Bio).
- Facebook — add it to your Page's Intro / About. On Meta (Facebook and Instagram) you may additionally include the notice in the platform's legal/About notices.
- YouTube — add it to your channel description (Customize channel → Basic info → Description).
On WhatsApp and Telegram, IcloneU doesn't ask for this confirmation, and the Clone doesn't announce itself in the chat. If someone asks directly whether they're talking to a person or an AI, the Clone is instructed to answer honestly.
Confirm it in IcloneU
Once the identifier is on your profile, tell IcloneU. When you assign or enable a Clone on a Facebook, Instagram or YouTube connection, the connection's Account options panel shows an AI identifier ✨ card. A new Facebook, Instagram or YouTube connection starts switched off: the panel that opens right after you connect shows Enabled on, but the connection only goes live when you save that panel with the confirmation switched on. Close it with Cancel or × and the connection stays Disabled — everything that arrives on it meanwhile is ignored, not stored. The same goes for a connection you remove and add again; Reconnect keeps an existing connection as it was.
Open the connection's Account options
It opens by itself right after you connect. To come back to it later, select the connection on the Connections page and click Settings; if the connection reads Disabled, switch Enabled on there.
Switch on the confirmation
Switch on I have added the ✨ AI identifier and disclosure to this profile. IcloneU records the date and time of your confirmation.
Save
Now Save is available. Until the confirmation is on, Save stays disabled and the card shows Required before enabling this integration. On a new connection, this Save is what switches it on.
On Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, an enabled connection can't be saved until you switch on the confirmation — that's the Required before enabling this integration. hint. It's the one gate between finishing the connection and your Clone going live.

The disclosure line ✨ Some responses are generated by an AI assistant · IcloneU, keeping the ✨ identifier. If the platform gives you little room, an abbreviated version is fine as long as the ✨ is there and it's clear an AI assistant is involved.
IcloneU asks for the confirmation only on the channels where the Clone answers in public: Facebook, Instagram and YouTube (plus Mercado Libre, and TikTok for beta accounts). On WhatsApp and Telegram the Clone doesn't announce itself in the chat; if someone asks directly whether they're talking to an AI, it is instructed to answer honestly.
On Facebook, Instagram and YouTube you must first switch on I have added the ✨ AI identifier and disclosure to this profile. in the connection's Account options. Until then Save is disabled and the card reads Required before enabling this integration.
Check the connection's status on the Connections page. Disabled on a new Facebook, Instagram or YouTube connection almost always means the panel was closed before the confirmation was saved: select it, click Settings, switch Enabled on, switch on the confirmation and click Save. No Clone takes precedence over Disabled and means no Clone is attached: create one first, then pick it in the Clone dropdown, switch Enabled and the confirmation on, and Save. On Facebook and Instagram, messages that arrived while the connection was off are lost for good.
You won't be able to enable the Clone on that channel without confirming — a new connection simply stays Disabled — and meeting the AI-transparency rules where you operate is your responsibility — IcloneU isn't liable for non-compliance caused by a missing notice. IcloneU sends a reminder 7 days after activation as a backstop, but you should set it up from the first day.
